Angostura®
International Cocktail Challenge 2001
The
Angostura® International Cocktail Challenge took place on April 18th at
the Hilton Tobago and featured
ten professional bartenders, all finalists who won the right to compete
in Tobago in the Angostura® International Cocktail Challenge. The contest,
organized by Dale DeGroff, showcased the talent of international bartenders
while encouraging the development of new and innovative drinks using Angostura®
aromatic bitters.
Winner,
Antonia Lo Castro
was honored with a grand prize of an engraved set of sterling silver bar
tools.

Fabrizio Musorella, Lanesborough Hotel in London
Michael Tsunis- Manadalay Bay beach Bar & Grill, USA, George White of
Scarvengers, St. Maarten.
Judges
included cocktail experts Terry Sullivan, and Gary and Mardee Regan. Competitors
were awarded points on the basis of technique, style, taste, presentation
and appearance in three categories: Cocktails, Mocktails, and a Mystery Bar.
