Master Mixologist Dale DeGroff, aka King Cocktail, developed his extraordinary techniques and talent tending bar at great establishments, most notably New York's famous Rainbow Room, where he pioneered a gourmet approach to recreating the great classic cocktails. DeGroff has been credited with reinventing the profession of bartending in the late 1980's, setting off a cocktail explosion that continues to this day.

Winner of: the 2009 James Beard Award, DeGroff has authored two best selling cocktail books: "The Essential Cocktail" and "The Craft of the Cocktail" (Random House Books). Other awards include Winner 2001 Bacardi Grand Prix, ACP Julia Child Cookbook Award 2003, Food Arts Silver Spoon Award , 2003, Bon Appetit Magazine Spirits Award 2004, 2009 Nightclub & Bar Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award, the TOC Helen David Award, TOC Mentor , Cheers Innovator, DeGroff has also appeared on Rachel Maddow, Anthony Bourdain, Bobby Flay, Martha Stewart, B Smith, and others.

Dale is a partner in the award-winning training program, Beverage Alcohol Resource (BAR), providing training and credentialing in distilled spirits and mixology. He is also the founding president of The Museum of the American Cocktail in New Orleans, an eclectic exhibit that illustrates the colorful 200 year history of the cocktail. Dale's most recent endeavors include launching his new brand of Pimento Aromatic Bitters and touring his one man show: ON THE TOWN; A Tribute to Bars, Speaks, & Legendary Saloons - Don't miss it!
